A group to meet and help each other with your research with the Peachey surname. Please let us all know where your family came from around the world. There are many variations of Peach/Peachey/Petchie/Petchey… you are welcome to share and work together in this group.
Ian this is your John E Peachey. He was actually born as Edward John Peachey… and he is your cousin.
Thanks for including me in the group. Sharing a photo of Russell Peachey, my half second great uncle. Born in Mildenhall July 1894. Died in Flanders 7 April 1917. Russell’s parents were John E Peachey and Sophia Foreman. Sophia Foreman was my second great grandmother.
He was a handsome man. I think I need to see where this Peachey line fits in…. Ian, I think John E Peachey could possibly be Edward Peachey son of Isaac and Rachel Peachey (nee Palmer)
This is my non-blood relation Peachey connection but I also have Sarah Peachey (1814-1888) who married Henry M Curtis who I believe to be my 3rd great grandmother. Sarah’s parents were James Peachey and Elizabeth Wing.
Don’t worry, he will become a blood relation… they all were…
Hi Judy – The John E I have was born in Mildenhall around 1857 and married Sophia Foreman in 1891. I don’t have anything further back than this and haven’t researched this line with it not being a direct relation but would be glad to learn more.
I am working on it, pretty sure I have found it, just want to sort it all out to share with you. Just bear with me, as it takes time, going through the records. x
