  • I have located my ancestor Tom Walton’s Sun Fire Insurance Record for 1830 at 100 Bishopsgate which covered his confectioner shop and oven therin in case of fire. These wonderful records are held at the London Metropolitan Archives in Clerkenwell.

  • My 4th and 3rd Great Grandfather’s, John and Tom Walton were Gingerbread Bakers, Pastry Cooks and Confectioners in Islington between 1820 and 1890. My 5x Great Uncle, John’s elder brother, Tom had a Pastry |Cook’s Shop at No.s98,99 and 100 Bishopsgate in the City of London from 1830 to his premature death in 1836 aged 43.
